Biotechnological Armenian Association (BAA)

Biotechnological Armenian Association (BAA) is a non-governmental organization which has been operating in the SPC “Armbiotechnology” NAS RA SNPO since 2007. The Association initiates academic and industrial projects that contribute to the linkage between biotechnological industry and science.

 

MISSION

1. To support the development of biotechnology – one of the priorities of scientific and technological progress in Armenia.
2. To contribute to the development of biotechnological production based on science in Armenia.
3. To participate actively in the discussion of legislative issues and adoption of laws related to biotechnology.
4. To ensure the exchange of scientific ideas, scientific and technological achievements and cutting-edge production experience.
5. To contribute to the development of collaboration between renowned Armenian and foreign scientists.
6. To promote the preparation of young biotechnologists in Armenia and encourage their future activities.
7. To contribute to the creation of favorable conditions for the creative work and professional growth of the organization members, promoting their application in science and production development.
8. To create conditions for the protection of copyright and social guarantees for the organization members.
9. To organize and conduct workshops, conferences, round table talks, meetings and other scientific events in the field of biotechnology.
10. To establish links and collaborate with similar organizations in Armenia and abroad.

 

MANAGEMENT

The right to final settlement of any issue concerning the organization activity and management belongs to the Council – the supreme body of the organization. The Council elects the Board, which coordinates the professional, organizational and financial issues of the Association.

 

HOW TO BE ENROLLED IN THE ORGANIZATION?

Any citizen who wishes to participate in the activities of the Organization and accepts its Charter may become a member of the Organization. A person wishing to become a member of the Organization shall submit a written application form to the Board in the name of the Board Chairman with the membership registration form enclosed.

 

 

MEMBERSHIP FEE

The membership fee of the Biotechnological Armenian Association is AMD 2.000 (two thousand) per year.
